Does WikiLeaks work for Russia? China? Iran? Or who knows maybe works for Someone else

Does WikiLeaks work for Russia? China? Iran? Or who knows maybe works for Someone else?
OK, WikiLeaks seemed interesting at first, but I now think they are being way too extreme. They are essentially revealing the intelligence documents of an entire nation. Is there any site that will reveal every single Russian secret plans? Is there any site that will reveal every single Chinese secret plans? From an amateur site WikiLeaks has grown into a huge thing. They could very well be sponsored by one or more countries who wish to see the USA fade away. And I don't like Republicans and I don't like the right wing at all, but I still think WikiLeaks could actually put the USA in danger. People with bad intentions could use their documents to their own political benefit.

Wikileaks work for freedom of speech. "Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives." James Madison The founding father of US constitution

Serves the US government right really. If they can't protect their own top secret information then who can really trust them with anything? They made an even better move by choosing to insult a whole host of national leaders. Nice job America! ¬_¬

Sometimes I really wonder about our government.

The best thing would be not to do anything that you're likely to be embarrassed about later. It's the problem of having secrets. Someone might find out. Example. There is a far more professional way to describe a relationship that isn't as embarrassing as calling two world leaders batman and robin. There are also ways to behave professionally that don't aim to embarrass and humiliate those you claim as your friend or ally.

I think the operator of the site started out with good intentions, i.e. to keep the government honest, but I agree that he's gone much too far. What leaders say about other leaders in confidence behind closed doors doesn't have to be public knowledge. Some things should remain secret, especially when we're at war. Too many revelations could endanger our troops further, and possibly even create new conflicts. He needs to learn to use some discretion.

The guy is a one hit wonder who got one gay disgruntled PFC to download a lot of documents. That said it mainly embarrasses the US State Department. The State Department has been run by liberal lifers for a while now.I do not trust the State Department either.Heck we need to watch the liberals inside our government because they are shady.Obama and Clinton do not fight for our best interests.EXPOSE THEM.

Iran? Wikileaks has bashed Iran. No, Wikileaks is a CIA/Mossad operation. If they didn't want the info to come out, the info would not come out. And if it did, the 'leakers' would pay dearly. This is all staged garbage to throw gas on fires. Nothing new here. That said, I don't disagree a lot of these filth would like to see the US fade away. "Our Asian intelligence sources report the following: “Wikileaks is running a disinformation campaign, crying persecution by U.S. intelligence- when it is U.S. intelligence itself. Its [Wikileaks'] activities in Iceland are totally suspect.” Wikileaks claims it is the victim of a new COINTELPRO [Counter Intelligence Program] operation directed by the Pentagon and various U.S. intelligence agencies. WMR’s sources believe that it is Wikileaks that is part and parcel of a cyber-COINTELPRO campaign, such as that proposed by President Obama’s “information czar,” Dr. Cass Sunstein. In January 2007, John Young, who runs Cryptome, a site that publishes a wealth of sensitive and classified information, left Wikileaks, claiming the operation was a CIA front." http://truthrss.com/2010/07/28/wikileaks-cointelpro/

When Borat Obama insults not only the enemy, but also the allies, why should we feel sorry for him when it comes back to haunt him? Don't worry, if anyone could get hold of Russian, Chinese, Iranian or any other countries secrets, they would do exactly the same. Borat should keep his big mouth shut. Just who the hell does he think he is criticising other world leaders, especially those whose soldiers are fighting and dying in a u.s war of aggression.

I doubt it, he seems to be an individual who dislikes the US and will do anything in his power to bring embarrassment and/or harm to the country. You have a good day now

Would young Western women experience much the problem of harassment by the opposite sex when working in Russia

Would young Western women experience much the problem of harassment by the opposite sex when working in Russia?
I have looked through a number of travel blogs but they mainly seem to talk about a country being a good or a bad place for singles referring to the 'size' of the dating pool there. I am not interested in that in the least and Russians would be the last to take my fancy. What bothers me is whether gender harassment or even aggression and related problems could be a big issue for me in Russia.

only SOME russians think that. if you go, you should be fine.
2 :
People r the same pretty much everywhere u go.. in like all countries there r some more aggresive and nasty people while others r nice and sweet. but russia is known for its aggresiveness. so Russia might not be the best place to go lookin for "romance"

It might be. From what I've heard sexual harrassment is a problem in Russia just as it is in the West. There are laws, but no one takes them seriously like they do in US and other western nations. There's only been two sexual harrasment cases in Russia that have been successful. As recently as Summer 2008, a judge in Russia recently ruled that, "Sexual harrassment was necessary to ensure the survival of the human race." I was like WTF? So, read the link below, then draw your own conclusion as to whether or not a Western woman would have problems. Personally, I wouldn't go to Russia, not if the men there have the same sort of attitude as that judge.

No, there is no large-scale gender harassment in russia. Both genders are treated equally. As usual women are considered less productive in work, so you should show better results than men if you want to receive proper respect. And about sexual abuse at work, it depends not on the country but on people. You can meet such jerks everywhere around the globe. Usually such abuse is the result of "weakness" of women. They are afraid to lose good job, or just cant put up a fight. I have a huge amount of bussiness girls here in Moscow and I never heard that somebody abused them at work (if not count simple flirting). At first the social part will be hard for you, but as you live and work, you will get used to russian style of life. There are a lot of good people around here. And by the way, don't listen to those who say that foreigners are not welcome in Russia. yes, we don't like US (country who lives the best, has 10 trillions debt, and uses those money to figth for an idea, where that idea is not welcomed yet) but we differ country and people. Nobody here hates americans, just the politcs of US. I can tell you a story, that my father told me. He was a sailor in USSR and has bought Toyota. It was 1978 and there were little such cars in USSR. Once he came to fuel station and went to pay for gas. several drivers were talking near and one of them was using bad words in his speech (not about the father just chatting in bad manner). His friend interrupted him by saying: don't say bad words, don't you see a foreigner is near. This example illustrates how russians treat foreigners. Even not normative lexics was thought to be rude to use, because of respect. Now it is not so good, thanks to democracy of the 90's. But almost anyone will be happy to meet a foreigner to speak with about different views on life.

What is the cheapest way to travel round trip from Russia to Atlanta, GA

What is the cheapest way to travel round trip from Russia to Atlanta, GA?
I am an American living and working in Russia and make regular trips home. I have a limited budget (since I am a missionary) and wish to economize as much as possible. I know flying in and out on Wednesdays is cheaper. I usually use Expedia to purchase tickets (they seem to be cheaper than Travelocity or Sidestep). Any suggestions?
