Do you suspect any of your neighbors of being spies working for Russia?
Following the arrest of the 11 deep cover Russian spies in the US do you have suspicions about any of your neighbors? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1290708/Russian-spy-Anna-Chapmans-British-links-Agent-seized-FBI-swoop-lived-London.html

Government spies are easy to find if you haven't noticed. There is always some sort of cover up or hiding of information; and finding out information about them is the first step to discovery.
2 :
no, my neighbors are into other things...lol
3 :
No but I have suspected people of being spies working for China. I think some of them are communist agitators.
4 :
Maybe not Russian spies... =/ But I SWEAR TO GOD my next door neighbour is a Taliban Terrorist.. He dresses up like one, he is a "physic construction engineer" and works on like.. A big science place, and his house is covered (on the inside) with pictures of 9/11 and other such bombings and stuff. Im freakin' scared to death of it...!

Yes I`m keeping a close watch on my neighbour Ms Eva Vestoff...

Nah. My neighbours, Igor & Natasha, seem very nice people with their black wardrobe attire, funny foreign accents & constantly darting eyes.

As my closest neighbours are Sudanese and Bahraini , I have to say not really. However I do think the guy who runs the local watering hole is really a CIA operative. Does that count?

Is an international student allowed to work (part time) in Moscow, Russia

Is an international student allowed to work (part time) in Moscow, Russia?
Hi All, I'm going to join MPEI this September for the one year language course and then will pursue my MS in EE next year. Just wanted to know that while being an international student in Moscow, Russia, am I allowed to work (part time or over the week ends) legally? Also where to start, to find some part time work? Any help is appreciable!!

Well, you're asking the wrong question, as "legality", despite what may be written in the legal code, is really dependent upon the whims of those with any authority over any particular circumstance. Therefore, the proper question is simply, "Will I BE ABLE to work part-time?" Right now, due to the economic crisis, it will be more difficult to find work, as there are many unemployed Russians (less opportunity) and those in power are operating under the strictest intepretations of the legal code (more risk for employers). Having said this, however, if you have specialized skills and/or knowledge which an employer needs, they'll find a way to make it happen. Since you didn't specify in which profession you're seeking work, I can only recommend some general starting points: http://yaca.yandex.ru/yca/cat/Employment If you already know some Russian, this would be a good place to feel out the job market. http://expat.ru/ Although this site has job listings, I recommend subscribing to the forums here...you can ask more specific questions here. http://www.moscowtimes.ru/index.htm A general classifieds job listing.

This is something you'll need to ask MPEI for further guidance. Russian law prohibits a legally visiting foreigner from taking a job which could be filled by a Russian citizen. However there are exceptions and the employer must file for the exception and apply for your permit. To see what kinds of jobs might be available, go to the Moscow Times career center listings at this link: http://www.careercenter.ru Here is the Russian job center at The Mendeleyeev Report: http://russianreport.wordpress.com/employment-in-russia/ Here is an excellent listing of Russian job boards. Some are in English and some require Russian language ability to read them: http://www.4icj.com/ru/ If you speak Russian, try: http://www.job.ru

you would need a work permit. Otherwise, it is illegal. And hearken not to those screaming about skinheads everywhere. Thugs can be found in any country.. You still could find something to do, yet these jobs would most likely be some kind of illegal, low-paid or fraudulent stuff. When you come to Moscow, you could try asking those you know or those who speak the same language with you.
