Will A American Ps3 work in russia


Will A American Ps3 work in russia?
I have a US ps3 and i am currently in russia i just want to know Will it work here? will the power be to much 220v? Do i just need a russian adaptor any if someone knows anything to help me out please do.

I think an adapter would work, just be careful i have heard of adapters breaking things.

Aslong as you get the correct adapter then you will be safe, I wouldn't think that the power would be too much so you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Yes, its just that some of the games may not work.

Yes, it will work, but make sure adapter is хорошо cause if it malfunctions, ps3 умирает. It will work good for ps3 games on any HDTV. Also as far as I know Russia is an NTSC region. So it should work on standard TV's also. If it's capable of playing ps2 games, it won't work for them, because America and Russia are still in different ps2 regions, even though they're both NTSC. Swap magic might work if it's a 60gb ps3, but it's complicated to do. 220v is way too much power, it shouldn't even be possible to plug the US cord into the Russian 220v outlets, you need an adapter. It might be wiser to sell the US one and get a Russian one instead.
